The Appointment Committee of Parliament has scheduled the vetting of the second list of ministerial nominees from Thursday, January 23, to Monday, January 27, 2025. President John Mahama announced this second batch of appointees on Thursday, January 17, which includes five males and four females. The meetings will begin daily at 8:30 AM and will take place in Committee Rooms 1, 2, and 3 at the New Administration Block of Parliament.
During the period, the committee will review and consider the nominees put forward by H.E. the President for various regional ministerial appointments. The committee has formally requested media coverage of the vetting process and invited members of the Parliamentary Press Corps to attend and report on the proceedings.
The President previously nominated three others; Cassiel Ato Forson (Finance), John Jinapor (Energy), and Dominic Ayine (Attorney General and Justice) in his first ministerial nominations who have all been vetted awaiting approval. The President has since made subsequent appointments and nominations since assuming office.
