Samira Bawumia, wife of former Vice President and 2024 New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, is set to embark on constituency tours across the Ashanti Region to mobilize support for her husband ahead of the party’s internal elections. The campaign, which begins today, Monday, 5 January, will cover several constituencies with activities scheduled throughout the day to engage delegates and party faithful.
In Asante Akim Central, proceedings will commence at 11:00 a.m. in Konongo, followed by an afternoon session in Juaben at 2:00 p.m., before concluding in Kwadaso at 6:00 p.m. Other constituencies on the trail include Offinso North and South, Tafo, Afigya Kwabre North and South, Manhyia North and South, Akroforum, Obuasi East and West, Mampong,
The remaining constituencies include Nsuta Kwaman Beposo, Effiduasi, Atwima Nwabiagya North, Subin, Bekwai, and Atwima Kwanwoma. Local coordinators have been tasked with organising the meetings and ensuring active engagement with delegates. The campaign, which underscores Dr. Bawumia’s record of achievements and his vision for the party, comes as the NPP gears up for its flagbearer election on 31 January 2026. Across each constituency, the emphasis will be on strengthening ties with grassroots supporters, presenting key policy priorities, and motivating voter participation in the upcoming selection process.
