POLICE ARREST 8 SUSPECTS FOR ATTACKING METRO MASS WORKSOP IN SUNYANI.

The Ghana Police Service has arrested 8 persons in connection with the post-election violence at Sunyani in the Bono region. Addressing the media at the NESTF press centre, ACP Grace Ansah Akrofi indicated that the suspects were arrested for unlawfully entering the premises of the Metro Mass Transit Workshop.

According to her,the police rapid response team within the area swiftly responded to the call from the workshop, which led to the arrest of the 8 suspects. “The suspects, Issakah Taugfic, Abudu Isaiah, Abdul Latif Mohammed, Mohammad Azandoro, Alhassan issah, Amadu Mohammad, Abdulai Adams, and Abdulai Ibrahim”are in police custody and being taken through the investigation processes.

She opined that the arrest of the 8 persons brings to 97 the total number of suspects arrested in connection with incidents of attacks, looting, and destruction of properties.

ACP Grace Ansah-Akrofi reiterated NESTF commitment to preserving the peace and security within the communities.
