The New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Parliamentary candidate for the Odododiodioo constituency, Abdul Mannaf Sowah, has assured constituents of a peaceful electoral process in the upcoming December 7 elections. Addressing concerns about the constituency’s reputation for electoral violence, Abdul Mannaf Sowah emphasised his commitment to ensuring a violence-free atmosphere.
Speaking during a campaign tour at the Agbogbloshie market alongside First Lady Rebecca Akufo-Addo, he stated that Odododiodioo has been unfairly labelled as a hotspot for election violence. “Odododiodioo has always been tagged with violence, but this year, the Manaf and Bawumia ticket has paused violence. I can assure you that not even a cockroach will be harmed. However, I plead with each and every one of you to be mindful of your utterances.
“Your words could either earn me your vote or cost me your support. Let us eschew violence and instead support us with your prayers so that we may emerge victorious and work for the betterment of Odododiodioo.” The First Lady’s visit was part of ongoing efforts to rally support for both Abdul Mannaf Sowah and NPP flagbearer Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, emphasizing the importance of unity and safety during the elections.
