Marriage is not cure for fornication – Comedian DKB

Comedian DKB recently shared his thoughts on marriage and financial stability in a video on social media. He was responding to Pastor Mensa Otabil’s comments, where the pastor encouraged single individuals to marry without waiting to accumulate wealth first. DKB disagreed with Pastor Otabil’s view, stating that financial difficulties are a leading cause of divorce in today’s society. He emphasized the importance of achieving financial stability before entering into marriage, saying, “If you go to divorce court, ninety percent of the cases are related to money issues. We are waiting to have money before getting married.”

Additionally, DKB addressed Pastor Otabil’s claim that marriage is the way to avoid fornication. DKB believes that self-control is the key to avoiding fornication, not marriage. “Marriage is not the antidote for fornication, it is not at all. The antidote for fornication is self-control. There are a lot of married people who are even more active on the single market than actual bachelors,” DKB said.

DKB’s comments highlight the importance of financial stability and self-control in marriage. While Pastor Otabil’s counsel may have been relevant in his time, DKB believes that it is no longer applicable in today’s society.
