The Ministry of Health has announced the postponement of the Centralised Nursing and Midwifery Licensing Examinations to September 4, 2025. In a statement signed by the Ministry’s spokesperson, Tony Goodman, it was noted that this decision followed a consultative meeting involving the Minister of Health, the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), and the Conference of Heads of Health Training Institutions (COHHETI).
It was agreed that the examinations will now be conducted within the respective training institutions, reverting to the previous arrangement to ensure smooth participation and effective supervision by the NMC. Mr. Goodman explained that this decision was influenced by the risks associated with extensive travel to centralised centers. He emphasized that this measure was necessary to safeguard the safety and well-being of candidates while ensuring fairness and proper monitoring of the examinations.
The Ministry also stated that the NMC will issue a revised timetable and detailed guidelines in due course.
