Armed policemen, civilians storm Metro TV premises to disrupt live production

Some armed policemen and civilians have stormed the premises of Metro TV to disrupt a live production on Wednesday morning, November 27, 2024. Host of the station’s morning show, Randy Abbey, who announced the incident on air indicated that the armed persons stormed the premises to injure some of the security personnel when they attempted to stop them from entering the studios.

“We do not know what it is for, but they were trying to forcibly enter the studio,” said Randy Abbey. Kwesi Pratt Jnr., Managing Editor of the Insight Newspaper, who was part of the panel at the studio retorted during the host’s narration that “they are still trying to enter the studio”, with Abbey indicating their private security’s attempt to stop them. He announced that the incident necessitated an abrupt break they took on the show.
