Public Utility Regulatory Commission ( PURC ) today called the press conference and stakeholders meeting on Utility bills and some of the challenges that they’re going through in Ghana.
According to Executive secretary, PURC Dr Ishmael Ackah said that PURC is not able to serve Ghanaians with the current tariff that are coming, because of the challenge’s requirements in our communities. But they’re still educating Ghanaians on how they are going to adult the new tariff structure and operation.
Dr Ishmael Ackah said that PURC has done the education in Kumasi, Koforidua, Legon and currently they’re in Accra. According to Dr Mrs Belinda Yebuah ECG also came out and add that, they’re only serving 4.4 million people in Ghana. but when it comes to Accra they’re serving 36 million people in Accra and the rest are Kumasi area.
