Patricia Asiedua Asiamah, widely known as Nana Agradaa, a former fetish priestess turned evangelist, has been released from Nsawam Prison after serving eight months in custody. She has since reunited with her husband and family. In a Facebook post on Tuesday, March 3, her husband, Asiamah, expressed gratitude, writing: “Thank God my wife is finally home.” Later today, Nana Agradaa is expected to join her congregation for fellowship, marking her first public appearance since regaining her freedom.
Originally sentenced to 15 years on July 3, 2025, following her conviction for defrauding by false pretence and charlatanic advertisement, her legal team successfully appealed the ruling. The Amasaman High Court reduced the sentence to 12 months, describing the initial punishment as excessive. Her release comes under Ghana’s standard remission rules, after serving two-thirds of the revised term.
