NPP lost 2024 election due to arrogance of power – Kobby Amoah claims

Lawyer Kobby Amoah, an aide to New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer hopeful Kennedy Agyapong, has identified the arrogance of power as a key factor behind the party’s loss in the 2024 elections. During an appearance on Kasapa FM’s Morning Show on Monday, November 10, 2025, Ghana Kasa stated that the party leadership’s failure to address this issue significantly contributed to their defeat.

“The arrogance of power displayed by some of our appointees was a major cause of our defeat—even Dr. Bawumia has acknowledged this,” he remarked. According to Lawyer Amoah, the NPP could have remained in power if this arrogance had been kept in check. He further suggested that the party could succeed in the 2028 elections if it chooses a decisive and courageous leader.

He further said that the former lawmaker would be the right person to lead the NPP to victory since he has the ability to bring all persons on board. “Ken Agyapong is the right person to lead the party…” he said.
