US Embassy congratulates Mahama over successful elections

The U.S. Embassy in Ghana congratulated Ghanaians on a successful 2024 election, describing it as a genuine reflection of the people’s will. In a post on X, the Embassy commended the candidates for their dedication to peaceful elections and the orderly transfer of power, particularly praising Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia’s concession speech.

The Embassy also expressed its eagerness to continue its strong partnership with Ghana under President-elect John Dramani Mahama. The statement emphasised the Embassy’s support for the people of Ghana and their faith in democracy, using the hashtag #DemocracyDelivers. This congratulatory message from the U.S. Embassy underscores the international community’s recognition of Ghana’s democratic achievements. It also highlights the country’s commitment to peaceful elections and the transfer of power, setting a positive example for the region.
