Eight people have been reported dead, and six others are injured following a tragic accident in Akyem Boadua, located in the Eastern Region. The incident occurred in the early hours of Friday, March 7, 2025. According to information gathered by Adom News, five individuals were pronounced dead at the scene, while three others later died from their injuries upon arriving at the hospital.
The vehicle was traveling from Kade to Accra, and despite not being familiar with the route, the driver was reportedly speeding. Passengers pleaded with him to slow down, but their concerns were ignored. A few minutes after passing Adankrono and heading towards Pentemtwam, the driver lost control due to the bushy nature of the road, which obstructed visibility. The vehicle reportedly somersaulted several times. The driver, however, fled the scene after the accident.
