The Office of the Special Prosecutor’s asset recovery and management team has seized several items from the Trassaco residence of Nana Yaw Duodu, the CEO of Goldridge Company Limited, also known as Dr. Sledge. The items include luxury vehicles, jewellery, weapons, and documents related to landed properties. The seizure took place on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, following a search conducted at his residence.
Additionally, officials from the OSP conducted a search at the East Legon offices of Goldridge. These searches are part of ongoing investigations into suspected corruption and related offences linked to the Minerals Income Investment Fund (MIIF) gold trade program. According to a post on the OSP’s X account, the searches were carried out under warrants issued by the High Court in Accra. Nana Yaw Duodu is being investigated for alleged corruption linked to the MIIF gold trade program, which is believed to have caused a loss of $94 million to the state.
Dr. Sledge Nana Yaw Duodu was arrested by the OSP for questioning in September 2025. He was detained after he failed to meet bail conditions but was later released on bail.
