The Ministry of the Interior has warned applicants to beware of fraudulent SMS messages demanding payment for medical screening ahead of the next phase of recruitment in April. In a statement issued on Monday, March 23, the Ministry clarified that no official notifications on medical screening have yet been sent and urged applicants to ignore any messages from unauthorised sources. It explained that genuine SMS alerts will be dispatched only between March 29 and March 31, 2026, with medical screening scheduled to begin on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at designated centres nationwide.
Applicants were advised to remain vigilant and verify the authenticity of all communications. The Ministry stressed that legitimate messages will exclusively originate from the authorised sender ID, CSERP. It further explained that shortlisted applicants will notice a change in their status from “Qualified” to “MEDICAL SCREENING” on their recruitment portal once official messages are sent.
Only after confirming this update should applicants proceed with any required payments through the secure web checkout system on the portal. The Ministry stressed that no applicant will be required to send money directly to any mobile money number, warning that such requests are fraudulent. Applicants have been encouraged to report any suspected scams to the official email address provided by the Ministry as authorities intensify efforts to protect candidates from recruitment-related fraud.
