Cardinal Peter Appiah Turkson emphasised that the transformation of Ghana is not just the responsibility of the President; it is a shared duty that requires the active participation of all citizens. Speaking at the National Prayer and Thanksgiving Service held at the forecourt of the State House, where thousands gathered in unity and reflection, Cardinal Turkson urged Ghanaians to adopt a renewed sense of patriotism and civic duty.
He stressed that meaningful national development and the vision of President John Mahama can only be realised when every individual contributes to the common good. The service, which brought together leaders from various faiths and political figures, served as a moment of spiritual reflection and national purpose, highlighting the importance of unity and shared responsibility in building a better Ghana. This event was held in commemoration of Ghana’s Republic Day on July 1.
