The Ghana Education Service (GES) has placed the headmaster of Dzodze-Penyi Senior High School, Mr. Joshua Vidzro, on immediate interdiction following allegations of sexual misconduct involving female students. In a directive dated Saturday, December 6, 2025, the Service explained that the measure is intended to safeguard the integrity of ongoing investigations and prevent any interference with the process.
Mr. Vidzro has been instructed to relinquish all official responsibilities, school property, and records to the Ketu North Municipal Director of Education. He is further required to vacate the school premises by Monday, December 8, 2025, upon completion of the handover.
Although he has been asked to step aside, GES clarified that the interdiction does not amount to a declaration of guilt. He is, however, required to remain available to assist with investigations and must avoid any direct or indirect contact with the students involved or potential witnesses.
