Ghana’s former High Commissioner to India, Ambassador Sam Pee Yalley, has passed away. He died on Sunday, April 6, 2025, after a short illness. Sammy Gyamfi, the National Communications Director of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), announced his death. In a post on his Facebook page, Gyamfi expressed his sorrow, stating, “A great man has fallen; a man who dedicated his life to the cause of the NDC. It is truly heart-wrenching.”
“Rest thee well in the bosom of your maker, Ambassador Sam Pee Yalley. You shall forever remain in our hearts.” Ambassador Yalley was a respected lawyer, diplomat, and public servant who held several key roles in government. He served as Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the National Pensions Regulatory Authority and was later appointed Ghana’s Ambassador to India by President John Dramani Mahama in 2014.
