Eyes are the window to your soul and it is very true. Each movement of the eyeballs and the pupils have a meaning. They move when you are thinking about something, reminiscing a moment from your past. But how do you know which movement means what? So here is a list of ways on how you can read someone’s eye movements to know what’s on their mind.
Upper left eye movement: When you are talking to someone and the person’s eyes move to the upper left, it means they are visualising what you are saying.
Upper right eye movement: If you ask someone to dig into their memory, they visualise the episode or that certain nuance. When they do that, their eyes turn to the right but upwards.
To the left in the centre: When you try to identify sounds not heard before, your eyes turn to the left centre. Also known as an auditory construction, this is the direction in which your eyes move.
Towards the right but in the centre: When your eye movement is towards the right but in the centre, this means you are remembering some sound. You are connecting a sound you have heard before. The person is thinking about a voice or a sound they have heard in their past. So it is auditory digging.
Lowered eyes but towards the left: When someone is asked to reminisce a certain taste, smell a feeling, he/she lowers the eyes towards the left side.
Lowered eyes towards the right side: Recalling a past experience your eyes tend to lower but move towards the right side. When someone is doing this, they are digging into their past and reliving the moment.
When they look straight: Here you have to watch their pupils. If it is dilated then they are basically not present with you. They are busy thinking, accessing information, concentrating and trying to reach the memory panel in your head FAST!
