Ghana Water Ltd has announced a 24‑hour shutdown of the Dodowa Booster Station beginning Thursday, July 9, 2026, to enable scheduled maintenance aimed at improving the efficiency and reliability of the water supply system. In a statement issued on Tuesday, July 7, the company said the exercise will cause temporary water interruptions or reduced pressure during the period.
Communities to be affected include East Legon, Adjiringanor, Ashaley Botwe, Madina, Adenta, Oyarifa, Frafraha, Agbogba, Haatso, Atomic, Ashongman, Dome, Dodowa, and adjoining areas served by the station.
Ghana Water Ltd has advised customers to store adequate water ahead of the shutdown and use supplies judiciously. The company assured the public that engineers will work diligently to complete the maintenance within the schedule and restore normal service promptly. Management regretted the inconvenience the temporary interruption may cause and expressed appreciation for the patience, understanding, and cooperation of customers.
