Ghanaians applying for new passports or renewing existing ones no longer need to travel to Accra for biometric capture, as the Passport Office has released the full list of Passport Application Centres (PACs) across all sixteen regions. Applicants are encouraged to select the centre closest to their residence for biometric registration, which remains a compulsory stage in the application process.
All applications must first be completed online via https://passport.mfa.gov.gh before visiting any centre. In Greater Accra, services are available at the Accra PAC, located at the former Ministry of Foreign Office Complex on 2 Urban Link, and at the Passport Head Office PAC on 13 Gamel Abdul Nasser Avenue in Ridge. The Tema PAC operates from the former IRS Office in Community 4.
In the Ashanti Region, the Kumasi PAC is situated on Guggisberg Road, opposite the Public Works Department in Adum, near the Ministries area. The Central Region is served by the Cape Coast PAC at 0295 Aboom Wells Road, while the Western Region centre is at the Takoradi PAC on Immigration Lane within the Western Regional Coordinating Council in Sekondi.
For the Western North Region, the Sefwi Wiawso PAC is housed in the same building as the National Health Insurance Scheme’s Regional Office, near the Western North Regional Coordinating Council. In the Volta Region, the Ho PAC is located beside the Volta Regional Coordinating Council, sharing premises with the Ghana Immigration Service. The Eastern Region centre is the Koforidua PAC, situated at the old Public Works Department office in the SSNIT Office Area.
For northern Ghana, the Tamale PAC is at Police Park on State Street. The North East Region centre is at the Nalerigu PAC on the same premises as LA Primary ‘A’ School, beside Ghana Commercial Bank. The Upper East Region centre is the Bolgatanga PAC, while the Upper West Region centre is the Wa PAC at the Upper West Regional Ghana Education Office Block C.
The Bono Region centre is the Sunyani PAC at Area 4, behind Jubilee Park. The Bono East Region centre is at the Techiman PAC, and the Ahafo Region centre is the Goaso PAC at the old Ahafo Regional Coordination Council building. The Oti Region centre is the Dambai PAC.
The Passport Office has encouraged all applicants to take advantage of these regional centres to avoid the cost and inconvenience of travelling to Accra. By choosing the nearest centre, applicants can complete their biometric capture closer to home, reduce travel expenses, and help decongest the Accra facilities, leading to faster processing times for everyone.
