A fresh Global InfoAnalytics poll has positioned New Patriotic Party (NPP) candidate Mathew Nyindam as the frontrunner in the upcoming Kpandai parliamentary rerun, with 50 per cent of voter support. The survey places Nyindam slightly ahead of his closest rival, National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate Daniel Nsala Wakpal, who garnered 46 per cent.
The third candidate, Donkor Eric Nipani, registered one per cent, while three per cent of respondents remain undecided. Analysts, however, caution that Nyindam’s four-point advantage lies within the poll’s ±3.9 per cent margin of error, highlighting the razor-thin nature of the contest as the rerun approaches.

The poll also highlights voter movement between candidates. Two per cent of Nyindam’s previous supporters are reported to have switched to Wakpal, while the same proportion of Wakpal’s backers have shifted to Nyindam. Significantly, 28 per cent of Nipani’s supporters have moved their support to Nyindam, providing him with a boost in the race.

Regarding his performance in Parliament, Nyindam received mixed reviews. Three per cent of voters rated him excellent, 32 per cent very good or good, 36 per cent average, and 29 per cent poor or very poor.
The survey also gauged public sentiment on Ghana’s trajectory. Overall, 66 per cent of voters in Kpandai expressed confidence that the nation is moving in the right direction, while 26 per cent felt it is on the wrong path, and eight per cent offered no opinion. Among New Patriotic Party (NPP) supporters, 37 per cent viewed the country as being on track, compared with 47 per cent who disagreed and 16 per cent who remained neutral.
By contrast, an overwhelming 97 per cent of National Democratic Congress (NDC) supporters believed Ghana is headed in the right direction, with only three per cent dissenting and one per cent undecided. Floating voters also leaned positively, with 65 per cent affirming that the country is progressing in the right direction
