Two arrested for allegedly killing man, 42, over bread knife

Two persons have been arrested by the Awutu Beraku District Police Command for allegedly murdering a 42-year-old man who had a misunderstanding with a customer over a bread knife in his shop at Awutu Bosomabena.

The arrest was effected Wednesday, September 8 at exactly 2:50 PM.

The suspects Kwaku Gyarteh and Kwashie Agyapong were arrested by the family of the deceased, Christopher Avedzi, and handed over to the Awutu Beraku Police.

An eyewitness said one of the customers picked up a bread knife and started cutting his palm with it. This generated a heated argument after the deceased confronted him over the act but the customer unsatisfied, organized land guards to beat the deceased to death.

Sister of the deceased, Cecilia Avedzi, speaking to Kasapa FM’s Yaw Boagyan called for justice and accused the suspect of committing a similar crime some few months ago.
