Kwahu Atibie Accident

Six people including a four-year-old kid passed on after a mishap that happened at Atibie on the Odwenanoma stretch in the Kwahu South District of the Eastern Region. The mishap happened on late Tuesday, May 25.

Four passed on the spot while two were articulated dead on landing in the Kwahu Atibie Hospital.

Staff from the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), the Ghana Police Service and the National Ambulance Service (NAS) needed to eliminate bodies from the ruined vehicle. Fundamental examinations showed that a Rhino truck with enrollment number GW 5638-19 had a break disappointment, failed to keep a grip on the haggle into the substantial gatekeeper rails on the Atibie segment of the Kwahu Ridge, bringing about the mishap.

The truck had on board nine travellers and stacked with seats, shelters and melodic gear. They were getting back from a burial service at Forifori in the Afram Plains South District, going to Accra. Three of the enduring casualties who supported different levels of injury are accepting clinical consideration at the Kwahu Atibie Government Hospital.

Assortments of the expired have been saved at the Nkawkaw Holy Family Hospital, forthcoming recognizable proof and examination.

The mishap vehicle had been towed to the Nkawkaw Central Police Station for assessment and testing.

Kwahu South Fire Officer DOIII Kwaakye Addo encouraged drivers to consistently check their vehicle’s upkeep and look for help from drivers who regularly utilize the Kwahu Ridge.

Nkawkaw Division Commander of the Motor Traffic and Transport Department (MTTD) of the Ghana Police Service DSP Foster Asante forewarned drivers to hold fast to street guidelines.
