NAPO vows to help break the 8 for NPP

Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the running mate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for the upcoming 2024 election, has stated that he is committed to supporting the party’s flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, in winning the December 7 election. The National Council of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) has officially approved Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s choice of Energy Minister Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh as his running mate for the upcoming 2024 General elections.

This endorsement for the Vice President followed meetings with the National Executive Council and the National Steering Committee of the party, and it was officially announced on Thursday. In his acceptance statement, the Manhyia South lawmaker stated that he would support Dr. Bawumia in order to achieve ‘breaking the 8’ agenda

“As I assume the role of running mate alongside my esteemed boss, H.E. Dr. Bawumia, I am committed to supporting him to prosecute a formidable 2024 campaign to break the 8-year election cycle and serve our beloved country diligently. Let us work together towards a brighter future for Ghana,” NAPO stated.
