The Ghana Grid Company Limited (GRIDCo) has announced that the 161kV Akosombo–Nkawkaw transmission line will be out of service from Sunday, October 5, to Tuesday, October 14, 2025. This temporary shutdown is necessary to relocate two transmission towers along the Kumasi–Accra highway, which is part of ongoing road expansion works by the Ghana Highway Authority.
GRIDCo assures consumers that measures have been put in place to ensure an uninterrupted power supply during this period. Additionally, engineers will be on standby to respond quickly in case of any unforeseen incidents. The company apologises for any inconvenience this may cause and reaffirms its commitment to providing reliable service.
