Black Queens face Ecuador, Uzbekistan and Papua New Guinea in World Cup play-off Preliminary Round

World Cup play-off Preliminary Round

Ghana’s Black Queens face a challenging path as they continue their pursuit of a spot at the FIFA Women’s World Cup in Brazil in 2027. The team will participate in the Preliminary Phase of the FIFA Women’s World Cup Play-Off Tournament, scheduled from November 24 to December 5, 2026.

The Black Queens will kick off their campaign against Ecuador on Matchday One, followed by a match against Uzbekistan on Matchday Two. They will conclude the preliminary phase with a game against Papua New Guinea on Matchday Three.

Having earned a place in the World Cup play-off tournament, the Black Queens are determined to successfully navigate this phase and keep their dream of qualifying for Brazil 2027 alive. With three crucial matches ahead, the team will rely on its experience, determination, and the unwavering support of Ghanaians as they chase their historic World Cup qualification.
